You voted, we listened! In the welcome post's poll, you told us what Bronston Buzz should cover — and while classes are on pause, the community very much isn't. Bronston has never been just a building: whether you log in from down the street or from the other side of an ocean, this school lives wherever its students are. So here's the summer edition — what the off-season looks like for a community like ours, a nudge toward some summer reading, exciting news about this August, and the great September question.
The (virtual) hallways are never quiet
Here's the thing about a school that lives largely online: it never really closes. Classes may be on pause, but the group chats certainly aren't — the memes arrive at all hours from every time zone, somebody is always awake somewhere, and "good morning" and "good night" happily coexist in the same conversation. That's the charm of a community scattered across cities and oceans: summer doesn't scatter us any further, because we were never in one place to begin with. Still, everyone's up to something new out there — and "wait, you did WHAT this summer?" remains one of the best conversations of the school year. We look forward to collecting yours in September.

Touching down this August
Now for the news we're most excited about: this August, Bronston is hosting a summer camp for students touching down from overseas! For many of our international students, this will be the first chance to put faces to the names they've only known through a screen — to settle in, get oriented, make friends, and start the school year already feeling at home. If that's you (or someone you know), keep an eye on Bronston's Instagram and website for the details as they land — and expect a full recap right here on the Buzz afterward. 🛬
The summer reading corner
Summer might be the best reading season there is — no assignments competing for your brain, long evenings, and full permission to read something purely because it's fun. If your summer could use a book, this blog happens to have an entire bookish wing: The Reading Room, curated by our resident book blogger, is stocked with honest reviews, and the shelf page lists every 4 and 5 star favorite ever logged there — sorted by adult, children's, and YA, free to raid. And if you read something this summer that absolutely wrecked you (complimentary), send it in — reader recommendations may just shape a future post.
A summer without at least one book hangover is a summer left unfinished.
The September question
And now, the elephant in the (empty) classroom: September is coming. Somewhere between the long weekends and the late nights, the countdown quietly started. Some of you are already mourning your freedom; some of you — and you know who you are — secretly miss the routine, the people, maybe even the class schedule. Both are correct. Whether your first day of school means a commute or a login, Bronston Buzz will be here when the (real and virtual) doors open, covering the year as it happens. Settle it in the poll:
